Seven Hills Railway Car Park
Located in the Greater Western Sydney region, New South Wales is the suburb of Seven Hills, one of the oldest suburbs in Sydney, culturally diverse and with many commercial and industrial developments and has over 200 years of history.
In the heart of Seven Hills lies the Seven Hills railway station, which provides regular services to Central CBD, making it a commonplace for commuters traveling to various destinations. Also, being a major interchange on the North Shore and Western Line of the Sydney Trains network, the Seven Hills railway station contains 2000 commuter multi-storey car parking spaces.
Problem Solving
Being built several years ago and having dealt with a heavy volume of traffic, Sydney Trains decided that repairs needed to be undertaken of the rooftop car park at Seven Hills railway station as the car park had substantial damage due to considerable water ingress, which led to water leaking from the top floor to the lower floors, causing safety concerns, such as potential trip hazards with commuters that use the car park.
To tackle the car park issues, the CS Zip Block (ZB Series) expansion joint cover was selected as part of the solution. The CS Zip Block was perfect for the car park, due to being a one-piece expansion joint cover that is also waterproof for wet weather and eliminating issues associated with standard parking joints. A quick and easy to install product, the CS Zip Block resolved the damage that the car park was facing. With the CS Zip Block installed, commuters will not have to worry about the car park having excessive water leakage and potential trip hazards due to the excellent slip rating.
Why use alternatives, when you can use the CS Zip Block, which needs low maintenance, and an easy-to-install expansion joint cover, saving on your costs, and ensuring efficiency.
